ONE MORE REASON TO TIGHTEN UP OUR BORDERS

Saddam reportedly tried to send infiltrators into Texas from Mexico. Their destination--a certain ranch in Crawford, TX.

An Iraqi terror team armed with millions of dollars tried to get smuggled into the U.S. through Mexico to Crawford, Tex. - the site of President Bush's ranch, a law enforcement source said yesterday.
The alarming attempt to infiltrate the country occurred this month, the source said.

It is not known what the Iraqis planned to do in Crawford, but Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein tried to assassinate Bush's father, the former President George Bush, in 1993.

The unidentified Iraqis wanted to hire smugglers to sneak them into the U.S. because they "wanted to get to the Crawford ranch," according to the well-placed law enforcement source. They also asked a Mexican doctor and a lawyer named Claudio to change about $100 million in Iraqi dinars into U.S. currency - about $325 million.

Secret Service officials would not comment yesterday about the possible threat or the suspects' whereabouts.

Whoa!

Tit for tat?

Actually, this is a legit move by Saddam right now. It’s on us to seal our borders from enemy agents trying to taker out our commander.

The attempt to kill Bush-41 during a ceasefire though was unlawful, and should have resulted in war. Clinton was too afraid for his own life, and that’s also why he went easy on Osama. He was more fearful of threats on himself and his family than threats of mass death for NYC and DC residents.

Chris,
I think this may have occured before the decapitation strike on the late Mr. Hussein. Not that it really matters.

Good point Noel, though you could say Saddam was just “pre-positioning his intelligence agents” waiting until we made our move. Not that he’s following the laws of war in any other way, but Saddam has been somewhat P.R. smart recently. He waited for us to attack so he can claim Iraq has no choice but to defend the country with war crime tactics they actually planned long ago. Much to Arafat’s glee, even suicide-homicide terror attacks are now being portrayed around the world as legitimate acts of resitance and war.
