YOU'RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH, YOU'RE NOT SMART ENOUGH, AND DOGGONE IT, MOST PEOPLE WHO'VE HEARD OF YOU DON'T LIKE YOU

But you did manage to get your (probably lousy, pedantic, unreadable) book promoted for free by the country's most popular news channel. So, Al Franken, you're not quite the nimrod I thought you were. For a comedian, though, you're still amazingly unfunny.

Interesting and intelligent analysis of the issue, Preston. You know, there was a time someone could write a book and not have a major corporation come down on it because it disagrees with its views. I recently saw Al Franken, for the record, performing at the Kennedy Center and was thoroughly entertained. I’m no lawyer, but the title of his book probably falls into the category of fair use - which begs the question, except in the context of the erosion of our civil rights, why is this even news?

Beats me why Fox is suing him, but that’s what made it news. If they had been paying attention, Fox would have known that this book fits Franken’s MO over the past few years—use someone else’s fame and success to try and create his own. Fox should have just done what Limbaugh did and either make fun of Franken or ignore him. Suing him was the worst thing they could have done.

FOX lives in the the same arrogant, mad-dog need to win world as most conservative elites. No matter how smart they are they still can’t see straight. Franken’s already funny by dangling red meat in front of Murdoch and letting us all watch him lunge. The actual book is just gravy.

Would that be the “arrogant, mad-dog need to win world” that people like Sydney Blumenthal and Gray Davis and the Democrats who turned Paul Wellstone’s memorial service into the quarantine wing of the local dog pound, don’t live in…?

Point taken McGehee. Fish gotta swim; elites (any stripe) gotta win ;-)

Franken is the Left Wing’s answer to Carrot Top.

This is all Bill O’Reilly’s doing, not Franken’s. O’Reilly’s giving him the free advertising by insisting his employer sue, NOT FOR LIBEL, but for the use of “fair and balanced”??

You assume Franken planned it out~of course, he didn’t. “Most people who have heard of you don’t like you”

source? or are you assuming to speak for “most people”? I don’t care about him either way, but you couldn’t have known that since I’ve never mentioned it and you don’t visit my site anyway.

Franken may be an asshole, but this pretty much proves O’Reilly is a bigger one. And you might have noticed Fox News itself won’t touch the story.

“Franken is the Left Wing’s answer to Carrot Top.”

Didn’t know Carrot Top was a rightie. I was thinking Ann Coulter. She’s pretty funny too.
