Not October of 2000, not 1996, and not 1993. So no, Kerry was not lying - you are simply making an idiot of yourself.

And it is also always nice to see how you guys love to blame Clinton for not doing enough against Osama and Saddam but give Reagan and Bush a free pass for the fact that they made Saddam and Osama the able to do what they did by arming and training them with our taxpayer money. The FACTS are that:

A) Any help OBL would have gotten would have been only as part of the overall effort to help that Afghanistani resistance to Soviet occupation - this is like blaming the US Dept. of Education for helping educate Charles Manson

B) US aid to Iraq in its war against fellow Axis-of-Evil member Iran came in the form of nonlethal information on Iranian troop movements we gleaned from our spy satellites and, a pittance of antiquated dual use hardware. It was absolutely insignificant. The Iraqi military machine was almost entirely composed of French, Soviet and Chinese hardware. The nasty chemicals came from France and Germany (see this entry at Instapundit).
