is this really what Edward answered? I don’t believe it, it must be fabricated. Coz I heard his speech about WTO. The picture of Clinton made Rabin and Arafat shake hands in front of the White House was so famous. I think this is a joke. N. Korea is a threat to the world. Actually, it’s much more dangerous than Iran and Libya. Clinton didn’t take harsh stance on N. Korea coz Albright was “charmed” by the ugliest Korean, Kim-Jon-Il. When Japan was virtually attacked by missiles in 1998, Clinton didn’t do anything. If GWBush was President at that time, he surely would blow up N. Korea. I don’t understand Clinton’s nerve, coz the US and Japan are allies, and the clause clearly states if one of the parties is under attack, it’s a duty to protect its ally. Clinton broke international law. Japan doesn’t feel safe if Clinton was still in office. He didn’t involve in Somalia and didn’t send troops to Ruwanda to stop genocide. He neglected UN duty as UN Peace Enforcement. If Edward doesn’t know N. Korea, how can Japan trust this guy will help Asia’s regional security? When Clinton was in office, Japan was afraid that even Japan was under attack in mainland, American would not come to help. That’s the impression of Clinton in Japan. But Japan believes Bush will come to rescue in case of emergency. As far as domestic policy, I dont agree with Bush but agree more with Kerry and Democrats, but as far as Asian security, Bush’s harsh stance on N. Korea and one day toppling Kim-Jon-Il out like Sadam will secure Japan’s safety.
In fact, Japanese foreign ministry officials’ guideline for 2005 is designed as Bush is reelected, means they don’t have a scenario of Kerry as President. Well, some Americans are annoyed by Bush’s John Wayne style foreign policy, but for Japan, that’s much better coz surely Bush gonna protect Japan from the foreign threat since Japan and US are the best friends, Bush said, “We will assure your safety,” at the Japanese parliament in Tokyo. Japan helped Bush by sending troops to Iraq, so as a duty of allies, Bush should help Japan by sending troops to N. Korea. Japan has been loyal to Bush, and Bush also rewarded Japan’s commitment.
Appeasement won’t work for Kim, under Clinton, Kim attacked Japan, but now because under Bush, he never tries to attack Japan, but had a historical talk with Japanese primier. He even apologized about kidnapping Japanese citizens. coz N.Korea is threaten to be blown up by Bush. Edward is charming to Americans, but to international leaders and citizens who are in dire need of American help, they won’t feel secure seeing Edward being in VP office, since VP is the second advisor to President in NSC.
But this is perfectly consistent with the entire Kerry / Edwards campaign, and for that matter with the cries of Democrats generally for at least three years. “Anybody But Bush,” right? So any policy at all, as long as it isn’t Bush’s, will satisfy them.
I do believe the Democrats could run Josef Stalin for president, and party loyalists would back him. Their hatred for Republicans, conservatives, and Christians who take their faith seriously is white-hot. There’s a good chance that it will turn the Democratic Party into a puddle of slag.
Right, anybody but Bush. So, that means Democrats are not really against Republicans but Bush since some Democrats act like Republicans these days, which I really hate to see. I talked to Democrats and many of them don’t like Kerry but they’ll vote for Kerry because Kerry is at least better than Bush. Even Kerry&MacCaine ticket was an option for Democrats. I personally supported Kucinich and Dean, but Kerry&Edward was totally unexpected.
I don’t know about Joseph Stalin or Hitler stuff. Well, Democrats don’t have Trent Lott at least.
As far as foreign policy in Asia, Bush provides security more than Clinton or Edward. But as far as domestic goes, I agree with gay rights, pro-choice, pro-union, tax cut for poor, universal health care, and consumer protection.
You’re right, Democrats are in danger of disbandment like in 60s. They are scared of independent powers such as Nader and Green Party coz their votes might be stolen while Republican votes won’t move to those independents.
Well, if I want America to be the way Democrats dream, I will vote for Democrats and vote Bush out, because if I vote for Nader, that just help Bush remain in power for another four years of hell. It’s too bad that my one vote won’t change anything. Well, if America is divided equally among Bush, Kerry, and Nader, I’ll vote for Nader. If it was Bush and Kucinich, that would be the best, and I would have no hesitation voting for Kucinich.
