FINALLY

Yasser Arafat is dead. And this time, he'll stay dead.

That man, whom the AP and probably just about every other legacy press organ will hail as the "George Washington of the Palestinians," is the father of modern terrorism. When Osama bin Laden kills Americans, we have Arafat to thank for inspiring him. When our Marines find terrorist slaughterhouses in Fallujah, we have Arafat to thank for inspiring those terrorists. When the next beltbomber kills a bunch of kids eating pizza or attending their first day of school, the world has Yasser Arafat to thank for it. He invented hijacking and sought to resurrect Hitler's "Final Solution" for the "Jewish problem." The man was a monster, and before he even assumed room temperature his avaricious wife and his flunky lieutenants were arguing over who would get his loot. That's almost a fitting end for him. It would be better if they fought for his corpse and ended up dumping out of its casket into the dirt like Ayatollah Khomenei.

Greed is the other side of Arafat. Most reasonable people know he was a terrorist. But most don't know that he was also a billionaire, with a fortune in Swiss bank accounts.

He got that money the old fashioned way--he stole it. Like just about every Arab despot before him, he took money intended for his people and piled it up for himself. What could a man who lived the last years of his miserable life holed up in a compound in Ramallah do with such a stash? Afford his expensive wife, for one thing. Build a private terrorist army, for another.

The fact is, Arafat stole billions from the funds provided through him to the Palestinians by the European Union, among other gullibles. And the EU kept paying him, though it knew he was stealing from his own people. In that way, as in so many other ways, Arafat resembled not George Washington but Saddam Hussein, who also stole from the mouths of children to gild his own selfish life. He also resembled the Kim clan that robs the people of North Korea and forces them to subsist on grass and rainwater.

The world is better off without Yasser Arafat. It would have been better if he had not been born, because his effect on earth has been entirely negative and bloody.

Justice would have Arafat buried in pigskins after his secret lifestyle was exposed on Al Jazeera. Justice will not be served in Arafat's case, but it should be.

MORE: Arafat's death came a few years too late for these people--some of his many, many victims.

“It would have been better if he had not been born”

weird thing for a christian to say.….

“It would have been better if he had not been born”

Not weird at all. It occurs to me that at this moment there very well may be at least one Arab thinking the very same thing —- Arafat himself.

“Sewer” Arafat and the rest of the “gutter rats” fight over the dead man’s earthly stash. How fitting!

An Israeli friend tells me his lifestyle wasn’t extravagant, except for keeping his wife in furs. He stole the money and squirreled it away as a source of power.

Which explains a lot about why he was able to survive for so long—he was the only one with the treasure map.

Praise God that he’s gone.

But who’s going to take his place? Mahmoud Abbas?

Hopefully.

Anyway, things with Arafat were so bad that things can only be better from now on.

Kind of funny how a bunch of people who hate Christians consider themselves authorities on what is and is not ok for Christians to say, think and do.

Notice that they have no substantive counter to what’s been said. Just childish insults. Then they skip away to tell all their Christian hating friends how they just put you in your place.

Notice also how they fail to even admit the foulness of Arafraud. They ignore the murders he committed and directed. They ignore his historical relevance to the modern world of Terrorism — or even tell you why it’s actually good and just and noble — they ignore that he needlessly subjected his people to an existance of poverty, they ignore that, because of him, those people he was pretending to be the guardian of do not have thier own state, when they could have many times over.

Yet at the same time codemn you for simply stating that the world would be better if he had never been born.

Anyone remember that dance of joy “Palestinians” did to celebrate the attacks of 9/11? I just went out in my driveway and did my own rendition of that dance.

bsti,

It would have been better if Arafat’s mom’s egg had not been penetrated by his daddy’s sperm to create the terrorist monster.

Is that better?

Well, whether or not it’s polite for a Christian to admit this, the world is STILL a better place without him! Read a joke yesterday - I forget where - As all the world leaders are phoning in their polite messages of sympathy for Mrs. Arafat, Mr. Cheney asks if Yasser had filled out his heart donor card…

Liz, I think that’s very presumptive of Cheney to think that Arafat had a heart…

bsti,

I am a Christian and leapt with joy when I heard that Yassir “Hijacking Godfather” Arafat finally got his dirt nap. Christians are repulsed by evil. Witnessing evil die is a thing to celebrate, not eulogize.

The people mentioned in the site that link goes to are all Jews. You can’t expect your Lefty readers to care about Jews.

If Arafraud’s cause is noble, then murdering Jews is also noble. He was the valiant freedom fighter, they the vile oppressors. They simply get what they deserve, so there is nothing to mourn and not cause for regret when they or their children get blown up, shot to death in their beds, or disfigured.

Who do you think his noble cause is directed against? Who do you think forced him into his life of murder and deceit?
