BLANCO: LET THEM EAT CAKE

So the Queen of Denial, Obstruction and Delay, Kathleen "Antoinette" Blanco, and her royal staff made multiple decisions to deny the Refugees of New Orleans the security, food and water they needed.

Video link above. More from Major Garrett here.

I think at least one of Gov Blanco's decisions, or non-decisions, was made right about the time that "cannibalism" was being reported in the Huffington Post. Remember, she would actually believe what she reads in the Huffington Post. I'm sure Arianna will be concerned about this report now and call for her impeachment, just as Bryan, and now I have.

President Bush failed now in one way. He failed to ascertain that he was dealing with a governor who was a clear and present danger to the people of Louisiana. That's a tough nut to crack in a crisis, so I don't blame him. Taking military control over Louisiana to save Blanco's subjects from her sociopathic leadership style would have been helpful to some individuals for sure, but the problem is that such a move may have done more serious long-term damage than the Democrats have already done to the United States in this crisis. Can you say "military dictator?" Can you say "ethnic cleansing?" Oh yeah. Those charges would have come right from Hillary herself. Hmm...now that I think about it, maybe there was a political method to Blanco's madness.

So for the record, the JYB is 100% unified on the Blanco impeachment call on behalf of the remaining citizens of Louisiana. We've been discussing her role for several days and now I firmly believe she's the rosetta stone for decoding the post-hurricane NOLA Nightmare. And we still don't even know the half of it. I want to see all her communications with her lawyers, political advisors, Sen. Mary Landrieu, James Lee Witt (Hillary?), et al.

Her ethically-challenged Homeland Security Office should have been on top of the New Orleans Evac Plan too. Did Mayor Nagin have state emergency preparedness experts telling him they loved his bus-free DVD plan? Probably so.

The Red Cross is confirming to Garrett that it had prepositioned water, food, blankets and hygiene products for delivery to the Super-dome and the Convention Center in the immediate aftermath of the hurricane, but were blocked from delivering those supplies by orders of the Louisiana state government, which did not want to attract people to the Superdome and/or Convention Center.

Attract?? Just who exactly has been racist in this ordeal? Attract?? I thought these were downtrodden stranded folks the Bush administration didn’t give a hoot about and set out to ignore?

Well, well, well…I guess the free stuff, like water, blankets, and food the Red Cross had to offer might encourage more people to seek refuge at the superdome? This is so sick.

No, no water, no food, no blankets…you might attract people who would otherwise stay in there flooded home to seek refuge with your free help and offerings.

Oh and by the way, if supplies were readily available at the superdome, like the red cross intended…do you think just a few, just a few would be thugs might have not seen the situation quite so desperate and police strained and though twice about committing total mayhem?

Let’s be real: the U.S. Constitution (remember that??) flatly prohibits mandatory evacuation for any reason other than a person presenting a clear and present danger to others: waving a gun around, having explosives, etc, or having an outstanding arrest warrant. No state has any such thing as mandatory evacuation powers because they are illegal. Not even the fact that these morons are living in disease and filth represents a danger to others. As long as they stay indoors doing nothing nobody can do anything to them.

So the two geniuses in Louisana were ignorant of the law, and after Blanco hired a Clintonista gunslinger to advise her, she probably found out it was illegal and just sat there crying.

There is no real way out of this dilemma short of doing real damage to both the law and our Constitution. People who want the army in there, dispite the obvious provisions of the Posse Comitatus laws HERE, some would have the government invade with troops, Strykers with guns blazing, and Special Forces. Illegal, and rightly so. The army can only be supportive by lending vehicles and stuff to the National Guard.

The now legal Eminent Domain cannot be just tossed around either. You need court orders for each one and hearings.

The morons and incompetents win. We, the taxpayers and contributors to various charities, are the losers; the suckers. We will continue to pay 100K per phony rescue of both dogs and semi-humans.

Stay tuned.

Remember that was the same reason they delayed a mnadatory evac. They didn’t want to attract too many people to the dome becaue they didn’t have the security. Then Blanco wouldn’t even provide security after the hurricane.

Some “shelter.” And where were all the pre-positioned porta-potties?

On mandatory evacuation: I saw one of the military commanders on the scene in NOLA saying his men weren’t going to carry out any such thing. The NOLA cops are on vacation in Vegas. At the moment I don’t know who is in command of the LANG. On Posse Comitatus: If Bush had bent the rules or twisted arms & forced federal control (maybe a constitutional scholar could even make a case for it in view of Gov. Blanco’s failure to act) he would have put our entire system of government at risk and damaged public allegiance to it. That is too high a price to pay.

Let’s see - in 2002 they predict 100,000 will need assistance evacuating in a catastrophe. Katrina comes, they can’t evacuate - so, they publicly announce that The Super Dome and Convention Center will be available as temporary shelter. But they deny entrance to the Red Cross who could have cared for immediate needs at those locations because they want the people (who they already knew couldn’t evacuate without help) to evacuate??

Oh yeah - that’s effective Democratic leadership in action.…

On cannibalism: maybe someone saw a package of *Hufu — The Healthy Human Flesh Alternative*

Maybe the cannibalism came from democrats who voted for Blanco.…I heard some were seen trying to chew their voting arm off.
